What is the difference between wallpaper and vinyl wallpaper?
Wallpaper is widely used wallpaper. It’s printed with the machine, on a bare or pre-coated with a primer surface of paper.
Vinyl Walpaper is composed of a paper layer on which a printed vinyl film was pasted. This material is resistant to water and water vapor, making it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and playrooms. Vinyl wallpaper can be cleaned with water en soap. It’s also called ‘coated paper”. Coated paper is paper which has been coated by a compound or polymer to impart certain qualities to the paper, including weight, surface gloss, smoothness or reduced ink absorbency. The coating formulation may also contain chemical additives as dispersants, resins, PE: to give water resistance and wet strength to the paper or to protect against ultraviolet radiation.
